Both Stephen and I are registered Independent and not too keen on any of the current big names out there... Ron Paul has a few things going for him, but from what I've learned of his general politics, he is just far too right wing to get anything done right. It's the far-sided fanatics (in either direction) that seem incapable of pulling their heads out of their own asses long enough to truly hear what the general public is saying. What this country needs is a group of candidates that know how to negotiate and compromise, not people who are more eager to jump off the deep end.
Politics in America has lost its way, and may never find the path again. One can't get elected without millions of dollars from campaign financing, and this therefore leads to one result: politicians making decisions for those who support their campaigns. How could they not?

And I have no idea why my comment got such strange spacing just now...
ReplyDeleteRegarding the spacing, neither do I. :)
